Our little apartment in the 18th arrondissement is in an old building, sans elevator, so every time we leave we have to walk up 40 steps when we return.
Americans would say it is on the 3rd floor but Europeans count the ground floor as 0, so it is called the 2nd floor here – sounds better, huh?
