Cultural differences
This is perhaps a nicer way to describe annoyances, inconveniences, and differences. One I am annoyed with now is how long it takes for a small load of laundry, and it is never fully dry after 9 hours. But I am grateful I don’t have to take my laundry to a laundromat.

Breakfast with Oscar
This is the title of the book I still have not written, and also one of the quirky things I do when I visit Paris. Oscar Wilde is and will always be the best playwright.

Musee of Arts et Metiers
Paris has lots of museums. I have a few favorites but we are trying to visit ones we have never visited before. And this is one of them. These pictures are but a small sample of what we saw.

Paris Art Capital
Paris obviously has lots of art museums but yesterday we went to an art show. It was awesome! There were several paintings I would have considered buying, if the price is right; but even if it was there was still the cost of getting it back home. To be fair, part of the reason we…

Covered passages
Paris has several areas that are mall-like because there is a ceiling over a street. Each one is different but most have small shops and restaurants.

George Pompidou Center
I visited this ugly building and modern art museum on my first visit to Paris in 1996, and had never been back. Until now. I stopped by for 3 reasons: I thought I had a picture of something by Marcel Duchamp, but I can probably describe it for you, because it is a great example…
